New classroom RPS
The Sonnenkinderprojekt supports, among other things, the construction of new classrooms. At the Rehoboth Primary School in Rehoboth, planning for an extension of the school began in summer 2014. In January 2015, the legal hurdles were cleared and the practical construction of a new preschool classroom could begin. In May 2015 the construction was finished and the children could move into the new classroom.
The Sonnenkinderprojekt supported this measure with approx. 300,000 N$ (approx. 22,000 Euro). This was the only way for the school to start the construction at all. In his thank-you letter the school’s director, Mr. Olivier, finds the following words:
“We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Sonnenkinderprojekt for their support in the construction of the preschool classroom. The Regional Director of Education, on behalf of Hardap Region, would also like to thank the Sonnenkinderprojekt for the kind donation to our school for the sake of the children. The classroom has already been occupied”.
