Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ in Germany) at the Gymnasium Sulingen in cooperation with “Weltwärts”, Gymnasium Sulingen and the Sonnenkinderprojekt. The FÖj consists of a three-month stay in Namibia and nine months of work at the Gymnasium Sulingen.
The Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) at the Gymnasium Sulingen is an ecological education year that gives young high school graduates the opportunity to work for one year in environmental protection and nature conservation. This voluntary ecological year is supported by Weltwärts, the Gymnasium Sulingen and the Sonnenkinderprojekt Namibia e.V.
During this FÖJ a three-month stay in Namibia is planned in order to understand ecological and environmental policy contexts in a social context. The remaining nine months take place at the Gymnasium Sulingen. Josephine Schmidt from Sulingen spent 85 days from 01.09.2018 to 25.11.2018 at the Swakopmund Primary School in Swakopmund.
