We are pleased to announce that the refurbishment works at Swakopmund Primary School have been successfully completed. Thanks to the generous support of our donors and the dedicated work of our local partners, we were able to improve the school in several important areas.
Renovation of the roof (Block B)
The roof (Block B) had been leaking for years and was in urgent need of repair. With an investment of EUR 17,623.27, the entire roof of Block B was renovated and made weatherproof. This ensures that pupils will be able to learn in a safe and dry environment in future.
Renovation of the toilets
Hygienic conditions are of great importance for the health and well-being of the children. The sanitary facilities were completely renovated at a cost of 2,400 euros. New toilets and washbasins were installed and the entire sanitary facilities were brought up to a modern and hygienic standard.
Renovation of the electrical systems
Electricity plays a central role in the day-to-day running of the school. The school’s electrical systems were renovated at a cost of 4,300.95 euros. This includes the installation of new cables, fuses and lighting fixtures, which not only ensure a reliable power supply, but also increase safety.
Total investment
The total refurbishment measures amount to 24,324.22 euros. This investment represents an important step towards improving the learning conditions at Swakopmund Primary School and shows what can be achieved through cooperation and commitment.
