Report on the teaching situation at Swakopmund Primary School

by Vanessa Jacobs liaison teacher at SPS

Teaching at Swakopmund Primary School has changed due to the Covid19 pandemic:

Some students are learning from home, the other students have been divided into two groups. Groups A and B come to classes on alternating days: Group A Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Group B Tuesday and Thursday; then there is a change of class.

We work with 20 students in one class per day. What is amazing is the discipline of the students, and that they are very eager to learn.

The government provides each child with masks / face shields and disinfectants.

Fortunately Swakopmund Primary School was not affected by the virus when the students returned home. All teachers are present and healthy. The school has a great staff. We are very lucky to have such dedicated teachers.
